There is no Christmas wihtout a lot of good food 

I love sitting eating for hours 
no stress only pure enjoyment!

These photos show some of the traditional food 

served during Christmas Eve in Sweden

Actually it was what I had for dinner this Christmas Eve :)

I didnt take photos of all of the dishes included 
we also had the traditional "Lutfisk"and before going home we had a nice 
porridge made out of rice

As a tradition we put two almonds in the porridge and the one who gets an almond will marry during next year

Maybe some of your neighbours dont have any christmas food or ..is sitting alone

An invitation might be the best Christmas gift for you to give this year..

Advent, Bread and Pizza

Yesterday was filled with traditional activities

in our bakery house 

baking traditional swedish bread

We were three generations together 
enjoying the luxury moment 
of baking bread the old fashioned way!

A very nice sandwich with the bread covered with 

butter and salmon 
It was superb! 

In the end we made pizza in the owen

with open fire

This is the best pizza ever made!

Nettle Soup, Green and Healthy

This was supposed to be a post for you this spring, but I found it unposted:) Anyway, its still green outside and maybe nettles are still available for a nice green soup.

I was out picking nettles yesterday and made a fantastic soup. I was walking in Baggböle 
by the river Umeälven.

Nettles are extremely healthy for you with lots of vitamines and minerals, 

Its  very good for your hair and skin

 

 

Nettle soup is one of my favorite soups!

One of my favorite places to be in when I paint is inside of my veranda. The light is perfect and the nature outside feels like the best company joining me - calming and inspiring at the same time.  
 

I just love being there painting!

Bird philosophy

 

This Little fellow came the other day

and got lost on my veranda,

didnt find its way out

 

 

 

 

I helped it opening up the windows

and after a while it left

reaching for the light

in the sky

Hi Guys!!!:))

Here I am again

Mrs Bumble Bee :))

Today its 

Midsummers Eve

Swedish people celebrate a lot eating and drinking alot
some special fish dishes and snaps 
and and and and straweberries! :)

I will wait until the strawberries are served and will order a glass of champagne with it:)

I will not be here next friday I will go on holiday for some weeks... I might have a chance to be online somewhere and add some info. But if not
