Advent, Bread and Pizza

Yesterday was filled with traditional activities

in our bakery house 

baking traditional swedish bread

We were three generations together 
enjoying the luxury moment 
of baking bread the old fashioned way!

A very nice sandwich with the bread covered with 

butter and salmon 
It was superb! 

In the end we made pizza in the owen

with open fire

This is the best pizza ever made!

Born in Umeå 1916, dead in San Felice Circeo -Terracina Italy in 1982

The design of the plate is called 

Adam

Maybe Adams christmas song, more known as

 Oh Holy Night is familiar?

I just love the combination

is great listening to 

when having coffee and cakes

I recommend it strongly, and guess what..?

Preparations for Advent Sunday

Its time to prepare for 

Advent Sunday

The small parts left of last years Advent candles have become a reminder of time  - an invisible non existing but always present guest

Beautiful stones, dried spices, and an old silver brooch are used for decoration

This is an old home woven towel for kitchen use

The letters R K are the initials of the woman 

Rut Karlsson 

the owner and the user of the towel 
many years ago

It lays beautiful on my kitchen table and if needed - ready to use as a towel:)
